Almost perfect.
I have not had any major issues with Start Rescue. The only issue is we changed to being a one car family and were unable to remove cover for the second car until the renewal date.

Speedy
Great had an at home problem with what I thought was a puncture on my Honda CRV, called you and was told should be there in 45 minutes, and spot on time George turned up, blow up the tyre, checked for any tyre problem, and all was OK.

Use the app to log breakdown
I used the app to log my breakdown, I was given an approx call out time of 1.30 and within 5 mins updated with responder and they were on route. Within 20 they arrived and after finding could not fix at the roadside and garages closed at night and I was away the day after they agreed to keep overnight and drop off at my choice of garage in morning. They sent me a pic of it parked up and garage received as agreed. The app asks lots of relevant questions so be patient and don't stress.

Fortunately I have only had to use your services once and that was over 3 years ago. Garage responded very quickly and towed my car which was still under warranty to the nearest Peugeot dealer to get resolved.

Never had need for a call out
I maintain my car extremely well, have been a Start Rescue customer for numerous years and never had to call them out HOWEVER the premium goes up every renewal and because my car is over 10 years old I cannot get cover in Europe

Unprofessional
Beacon Recovery turned up with an unsuitable vehicle to attempt roadside assistance when we were known to be at an exhaust centre (Boro Tyres) who were unable to effect repairs. I'm sure Beacon got their call out fee though! That was three hours wasted.
John, from Fylingdales Service Station finally arrived and we got on our way, but he was short on driver hours so we were to be met at Washington services for the second stage of the recovery. This connection was cancelled but nobody bothered to tell our driver. He was as helpful as he could be but we had to overnight in the services truck stop in our motorhome (with no power) as the Travelodge was full.
The arranged 9am pick up turned up after 11 (another vary pleasant and helpful driver) and we finally made it home some 23½ hours after first calling in.
The Axa call centre seemed not to have a clue most of the time but they were totally put in the shade by National Recovery Network (or whatever they are called) for a combination of indifference and inefficiency.
I appreciate that a Friday afternoon presents it's own problems but the despatch of Beacon recovery was totally inappropriate to our KNOWN needs. The failure to communicate regarding the missing connection at Washington was both unprofessional and disrespectful to us and to the Fylingdale's driver. The failure to notify us that we would be twiddling our thumbs for another couple of hours in the morning was just more of the same.

Unfortunately I've had to use the breakdown service a few times. Every time the communication has been great and the breakdown recovery people have been first class. I hope I never have to use the breakdown service again, but if I do I have every confidence it will be a good experience.

Fantastic value for money & a great service!
Fantastic value for money! The call handler answered my call in good time, was reassuring and found my location. I was updated with an ETA and the engineer arrived within that timeframe. I would highly recommend Start Rescue.
